3D print proofing & artwork approval

Turn flat artwork into interactive 3D print proofs

Upload a customer's PDF proof and ProofScene builds a realistic 3D model of the finished product — artwork applied, materials and finishes in place. Send a branded link your client can rotate, inspect under real lighting, and approve before you print.

For packaging, labels, cards, apparel, signage & every printed product

Flat proof, meet 3D

The dieline on the left. The product on the right.

ProofScene reads the proof you already produce and renders it as the finished product — structure, substrate and finish in place. Same file, new dimension.

A flat blueprint dieline on the left transforms through a glowing blue scan-line into a rendered navy-and-gold 3D box on the right, framed by registration corner brackets on a cream background

How it works

From flat PDF to signed-off in four steps

The proof-approval workflow you already run — with a 3D model of the real product in the middle of it.

  1. 01

    Upload your proof

Drop in the flat PDF proof sheet you already send for sign-off. ProofScene reads the artwork, dimensions and finishing notes.

  2. 02

    We build the 3D

Your artwork is applied to a true-to-spec 3D model of the finished product — materials, thickness and print finishes in place.

  3. 03

    Send a branded link

Share a link like yourcompany.proofscene.com/CG24001234 — optionally password protected — right alongside your usual PDF.

  4. 04

    Customer approves

They rotate the product, inspect every angle under real lighting, and sign off with confidence. You print what they actually approved.

This is a proof, not a picture

Drag the card. Every ProofScene proof works exactly like this — a real, rotatable 3D model of the finished product. Your customer sees how the print, finish and material actually behave from every angle, then approves with no surprises at delivery.

  • Front, back, edges and thickness
  • Realistic lighting and finish response
  • Works in the browser, on any device

One platform, every word for it

Whatever your industry calls it, ProofScene does it

Digital proof, soft proof, virtual proof, art approval, 3D mockup — the language changes by trade, but the job is the same: let your customer see and approve the real product before you print. Start with the term you use.

Why 3D

A signed-off proof should look like the product

Fewer reprints

When a customer can rotate and inspect the finished product, "that's not what I expected" gets caught before the press runs, not after.

Faster sign-off

A clear 3D proof answers the questions a flat PDF creates, so approvals come back with fewer rounds of back-and-forth.

Confident customers

Give clients a premium, interactive review experience that makes your shop look as modern as the work you produce.

ProofScene, answered

What is ProofScene?

ProofScene is a 3D print proofing and artwork approval platform. You upload a flat PDF proof and it generates a realistic, interactive 3D model of the finished printed product, which your customer can rotate, inspect and approve through a branded link before you go to press.

Do my customers need to install anything?

No. A ProofScene proof opens in any modern web browser on desktop or mobile. Your customer clicks the link, rotates the product and approves — nothing to download or install.

What kinds of printed products does it support?

ProofScene is built for any printed product that today ships as a flat proof sheet — packaging, labels, cards and credentials, promotional products, apparel, signage and large format, commercial print, and specialty finishes.

Is a 3D proof the same as a contract color proof?

No. A ProofScene 3D proof shows appearance, placement, materials and finishing so your customer can review the artwork in context. On-screen proofs are not calibrated contract-color proofs unless your workflow includes formal color management.

Can I use my own domain and branding?

Yes. Proof links live on your own branded subdomain, and enterprise plans can be self-hosted on your infrastructure with no ProofScene branding, so artwork and assets stay on your servers.

Is ProofScene available now?

ProofScene is opening early access. Join the list and we will reach out as onboarding opens for print shops and product suppliers.
